Chain reaction crash on Palmetto Expy. leaves 1 injured

MIAMI, FL – One person was sent to the hospital following a chain-reaction crash on the Palmetto Expressway on Wednesday morning.

According to CBS Miami, a red Toyota was rear-ended by another vehicle near Northwest 37th Street. The impact caused the Toyota to veer into the guardrail and overturn on April 6th.

As a tractor-trailer approached the crash site, it attempted to avoid the incident by switching lanes. The truck then collided with a Chevrolet SUV, causing it to hit a nearby Toyota sedan.

Both the vehicle that rear-ended the Toyota and the tractor-trailer fled the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet SUV, an unidentified woman, was taken to a hospital in Jackson with minor injuries.
