Car plows into Port St. Lucie home, police say

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL – Port St. Lucie police are working to pinpoint why a driver lost control of their vehicle, plowed into a vinyl fence, and crashed into a home Wednesday.

The collision happened off Southeast Sweetbay Ave, CBS 12 said. Preliminary details said that the driver had wound up on the home occupant’s patio before plowing into the home. Despite the nature of the crash, the driver and the home residents appeared to have been spared from serious injuries.

On a related note, law enforcement responded to two collisions that involved drivers crashing into Port St. Lucie homes earlier this month. One took place on Thursday, March 6, and claimed the life of an 87-year-old woman. The other collision happened on Wednesday, March 5. The circumstances of the March 5th wreck have not been publicly announced.
