Car crashes into Sunrise canal, claiming 88-year-old woman’s life
SUNRISE, FL – An 88-year-old woman was taken to WestSide Regional Hospital, where she later passed away after she crashed her car into a canal Wednesday, CBS News said.
This solo collision occurred in the vicinity of 3730 N Pine Island Road, and the Sunrise Police’s diving team jumped into the water and located her after first attempts from fire crews and good samaritans who were not able to locate her.
Sunrise Police are still in the early stages of their investigation. However, based on what they know so far, it appears the woman went over a parking block and accidentally crashed into the canal.
