Car crashes into Miami canal, leading to man’s death
MIAMI, FL – A man was driving on a dead-end road on the 4200th block of SW 166th Court and hit a barrier, leading him to crash into a canal and resulting in his death Friday.
This crash happened around 3 a.m. in the West End area and required an emergency response from Miami Dade Fire Rescue and their diving team, WSVN said. After arriving, a deputy rescued the man. Once the divers arrived, they also went into the water and confirmed no other individuals were inside the canal.
EMS crews issued the man a trauma alert and rushed him to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, where he passed away.
At this time, authorities have not revealed the exact cause of this collision or stated the man’s identity. Updates will be added as our newsroom learns more.
