Boy’s life claimed, another hurt in Jupiter e-bike-auto crash

JUPITER, FL – A driver of a vehicle collided with two boys riding an e-bike, claiming the life of one boy and sending the other to a hospital Thursday.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue told CBS 12 that the crash happened before 8 p.m. at the intersection of Indian Creek Parkway and South Pennock Lane.

The boy who survived the bike crash appears to be in serious condition, as he was issued a trauma alert. The driver, on the other hand, is recovering from minor injuries. Authorities haven’t confirmed their release from the hospital.

Crews shut down Indian Creek Parkway from Military Trail to Central Boulevard.

Jupiter Police do not have any more information available, including the boys’ ages. The police department started an investigation. They urge the public to contact them immediately if they can provide more details about Thursday’s serious wreck.
