Boca Chita Key boat crash leaves one dead

BOCA CHITA KEY, FL – One person was killed and several others were injured after a boat crash in Boca Chita Key, CBS Miami reports. 

The crash occurred on Sunday evening around 7 p.m. within Biscayne National Park when the boat struck a channel marker. A 17-year-old girl was killed in the accident and three others suffered critical injuries.

There were 14 people on the boat at the time of the crash, 11 of whom were injured.

No information is available on the cause of the crash.
