Big rig fatally hits motorcyclist in Miami Lakes 

MIAMI LAKES, FL – A male motorcyclist suffered fatal wounds after he fell off his bike and was struck by an oncoming big rig Tuesday. 

The collision took place before 5:45 p.m. on the Palmetto Expressway near Northwest 67th Avenue, according to WSVN. Upon arrival, Florida Highway Patrol declared the biker dead at the scene. 

Troopers and crews shut down westbound SR 826 for several hours to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation. 

An investigation is underway.
