Bicyclist seriously injured in collision with driver in Port St. Lucie

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL – WPTV News reports that a female bicyclist was seriously injured after being involved in a collision with a vehicle in Port St. Lucie on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash was reported shortly before 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Southeast Port St. Lucie Boulevard and Southeast Airoso Boulevard. Authorities say the bicyclist was exiting the Lakeside Center Plaza when she and a driver traveling westbound on Port St. Lucie Boulevard collided.

The bicyclist sustained serious injuries in the collision and was transported to a local hospital for treatment in critical condition. The driver was not injured in the crash.
