Bicyclist killed in Lake Ave crash

West Palm Beach, FL – One bicyclist is dead after being struck by a vehicle on Lake Avenue in Lake Worth Beach, Florida early Monday morning.

According to WPTV, the crash occurred shortly after 12:00am on Lake Avenue near the Lake Worth Beach drawbridge when a vehicle struck the back wheel of the bicycle, which caused the rider to be thrown off the bicycle and hit the windshield of the car. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported in the crash.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing. No further details have been released at this time.
