Authorities respond to major crash on I-95 SB in Lake Worth Beach

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL — Part of southbound Interstate 95 was closed Thursday morning in Lake Worth Beach following a collision, according to CBS12.

The accident impacted the southbound lanes near Lake Worth Road, just before Exit 63 to 6th Avenue South. First responders were dispatched to the area at about 6:40 a.m.

As of this writing, local officials have not disclosed specifics about the incident, but emergency vehicles initially had a section of the southbound interstate shut down. Shortly after, only the left lane was reported blocked, with traffic beginning to flow again by 7:40 a.m.

It was not immediately apparent how many vehicles were impacted and whether anyone involved was seriously injured.
