Alleged speeding leads to rear-end crash with SUV, bus in Miami
MIAMI, FL – A person operating a silver SUV struck the back of a Miami-Dade County bus while allegedly speeding in the Gladeview area Sunday.
This incident took place five minutes after 8 p.m. near NW 71st Street and 21st Avenue, WSVN said. An eyewitness claimed to the source that the motorist was driving at a high rate, and another said there was a helicopter circling in the air at the time of the wreck, but Miami Police officers have not confirmed that detail. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, who were the other first responders, did, however, verify that at least two individuals were transported to Jackson Ryder Trauma Center.
Officials did not disclose the hospitalized occupants’ current physical conditions or state whether they were traveling inside the SUV or bus. The impact of this wreck, as indicated in the source’s photo, showed the SUV with significant front-end damage, including a shattered windshield.
Authorities have begun an investigation and have not released additional information.
