Accident in Jupiter leaves driver dead

JUPITER, FL – A driver was killed in Jupiter on Saturday after he fell out of an open door of his Jeep during an accident, CBS 12 reports.

The accident occurred on State Route 710 on Saturday morning. The victim was driving south when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a light pole.

As he attempted to turn back on to the road, he over-corrected and the drivers side door came open. The 41-year-old man, who was not wearing a seat belt, fell out of the car.

He was rushed to the hospital where he later passed away.

It is not clear what caused him to hit the light pole or why his car door opened.
