At least 1 hurt in car-semi wreck near Miami’s Hardrock Stadium
MIAMI GARDENS, FL – At least one person was injured in a collision between a car and a semi-truck on Florida’s Turnpike North along the Hardrock Stadium Friday.
Florida Highway Patrol told NBC Miami that they were summoned to the scene, along NW 199th Street, before 5:30 a.m. After arriving, they said that somehow, the car rear-ended the tractor-trailer and then appeared to get trapped underneath.
The source’s video footage showed that the front half of the car was flattened. It has since been removed from the scene.
The wreck blocked at least two lanes. During the closure, drivers were asked to use one of the alternative routes: US 441, South Dixie Highway, or Interstate 95.
An investigation is underway.
