Truck driver fatally hits 78-year-old woman in Lake Worth Beach
LAKE WORTH BEACH, FL – A 78-year-old woman was taken to a hospital where she later died after getting struck by a man driving a Ford F-150 Saturday.
CBS 12 said the crash took place around 3 p.m. in the 4000th block of Lucille Drive. Preliminary details from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said the man had filed to yield to the female pedestrian while backing out of his driveway and hit her as a result.
The motorist informed authorities, and EMS crews conducted the transportation. The victim was later identified as Ana Maria Tapia-Gomez.
At this time, it is unclear if the driver was cited or if criminal charges can be expected.
