Delray Beach PD investigates utility pole crash near city hall

DELRAY BEACH, FL – Delray Beach police are working to determine what caused a truck driver to crash into a utility pole northeast of Delray Beach City Hall Friday.

CBS 12 said the solo collision took place at the intersection of North Swinton Avenue and Northeast 2nd Street. Photos from the source reveal that the entire utility pole, as well as the power lines, plummeted. Authorities were left with no choice but to shut down the area for the scene clearance and restoration of power.

The extent of the injuries is unknown at this time.
