Male cyclist, 64, dies after crash in Boynton Beach
BOYNTON BEACH, FL – A 64-year-old man riding a bicycle lost his life on Tuesday after he was struck by a vehicle driver who proceeded through the intersection on a green light Saturday.
The collision happened around noon along La Chalet Blvd, CBS 12 reports. Florida Highway Patrol said the cyclist was going east on Military Trail when he was hit by the driver going north on Military. Once the bike and car collided, the cyclist got ejected from his bike.
Fire crews transported the cyclist to Delray Medical Center, where he succumbed to his wounds on Tuesday, Feb. 4. Authorities have identified the victim as Jose Paulo De Liz.
