Miami-Dade School officers hurt in Gladeview

MIAMI, FL – Two Miami-Dade School Resource Officers were injured in a Wednesday night crash in Gladeview.

WSVN said the events began when the driver of a black car crashed into a fence off 67th Street and Northwest 10th Avenue in Liberty Square. The car was heavily damaged, and a response was enacted from several police officers, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, and EMS crews. Ambulance personnel sent the two officers to Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center, where they are recovering.

Authorities shut down the intersection to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation.

Fire crews did not comment on the specifics of the drivers’ conditions, nor did police disclose the events that led to the crash.
