2 fatally ejected from overturned minivan in South Bay
SOUTH BAY, FL – A Chrysler Chrysler Town and Country minivan overturned off U.S. Highway 27, which ejected the driver and passenger and claimed their lives Monday.
CBS12 said that prior to the rollover wreck, which happened after 8 p.m., the minivan driver decided to merge lanes and then swerved slightly to try and avoid slower traffic. The quick lane change attempt led the driver to lose control of the steering wheel, ending in a solo collision.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the driver perished at the scene and said EMS crews sent the passenger to a hospital, where she died. Authorities have since identified the driver as 60-year-old Bobby Freeman and the passenger, 36-year-old Christina Vasquez.
