Injury auto accident blocks U.S. 1 in Port St. Lucie 

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL – A collision with reported injuries has shut down the 8000th block of South U.S. 1 after 8 p.m. Friday. 

Florida Highway Patrol, who is responding to this scene, advises drivers in the area to proceed with caution as crews work to clear the scene and as troopers pursue their investigation. 

It is not immediately clear if anyone needed to go to a hospital, nor did troopers disclose the exact cause of this crash.
