Woman fatally hit by driver who fled the scene in Davie
DAVIE, FL – A woman succumbed to fatal injuries near Owls Lookout Park, where she was struck by a driver who fled the scene Friday, WSVN said.
Davie Police received a call around 6 a.m., stating the woman’s body was found in the vicinity of South Flamingo Road and Southwest 26th Street. After arriving, authorities placed a yellow tarp over her body to shield her privacy, and police were seen redirecting traffic.
Officers and crews shutdown the northbound lanes for four hours before reopening around 10 a.m.
Officials have not released the victim’s name or provided a description of the suspect or their vehicle.
