Car crashes into tree in West Palm Beach, claiming driver’s life 

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – A 72-year-old man passed away after he crashed his Oldsmobile Alero into a tree after drifting off Southern Boulevard Wednesday. 

Preliminary details mentioned by CW34 indicated that the driver, John Simmons, did not notice one lane blocked by orange traffic cones. Simmons could not stop in time and hit the two cones leading him to drift outside to the left, causinghis car to spin numerous times before colliding with the tree. 

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed he perished at the collision site. 

No other occupants or vehicles were involved.
