Miami-Dade Officer hospitalized after crash with fence 

MIAMI, FL – A Miami-Dade Police officer was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital after his patrol car collided with another vehicle and a fence Wednesday. 

This collision took place around 4:30 p.m. at Northwest 53rd Street and Northwest 17th Avenue in the Liberty City district, Local 10 reported. 

The officer is expected to be OK as he only suffered a minor wound while the other driver escaped injuries. 

Officials launched an investigation and have not released other details at this time.
