Crash near Sawgrass Recreation Park claims at least 1 life  

NEAR FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – At least one person lost their life in a crash on U.S. 27 South at mile marker 46 near Sawgrass Recreation Park Friday. 

Florida Highway Patrol were summoned to the scene at 4:17 a.m. and arrived at the collision site at 4:37 a.m. 

Upon arrival, troopers shut down all northbound lanes in the area to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation process. 

FHP has not confirmed the events that led to Friday’s wreck nor specified the type and number of people and vehicles involved.
