Man hospitalized after rollover wreck with extrication in Miami
MIAMI, FL – A vacuum truck driver had to be extricated from his truck and go to a hospital for serious injuries after his truck overturned when it was hit by a blue Honda sedan Thursday.
Florida Highway Patrol told NBC Miami that around 7 a.m., the Honda driver, for reasons unclear, lost control of their car on SR-874, leading them to slam into the truck. As a result, the truck came to rest in a grassy median and was overturned entirely.
After the extrication, first responders took the truck driver to Kendall Regional Trauma Center, where he is recovering.
No other details, including whether the Honda driver was injured, have been confirmed by FHP at this time.
