Man in wheelchair dies following hit-and-run near Roosevelt Bridge in Stuart
MARTIN COUNTY, FL — A hit-and-run pedestrian collision Saturday night, March 16, in Stuart claimed the life of an elderly man in a motorized wheelchair, reports WPTV.
The incident occurred in the area of U.S. Highway 1 and Wright Boulevard, north of the Roosevelt Bridge. Stuart Police were dispatched to the scene just before 10:00 p.m.
As of this time, officials have not disclosed any specific details about the nature of the collision, but an investigation and search for the fleeing driver remains underway.
