Driver causes Lake Worth Beach left-turn crash, killing motorcyclist

LAKE WORTH BEACH, FL – A Dodge Charger driver turned left at an intersection and hit a Kawasaki motorcycle and then a patrol car, resulting in the motorcyclist’s death.

This collision happened around 11:30 p.m. Thursday at the 4th Avenue North and U.S. 1 junction, according to CBS12. The impact led the motorcyclist, a 27-year-old adult, to hit the pavement before succumbing to fatal wounds.

After striking the motorcyclist, the Dodge Charger motorist continued to drive before colliding with the front of a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s cruiser. A passenger from the Charger suffered minor injuries while the officer was unharmed.

Authorities suspect the Dodge Charger driver was impaired at the time of the collision; the sobriety test results are pending.
