Man killed in West Palm Beach SUV-motorcycle rear-end crash

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – A motorcyclist died after he struck the back of an SUV on Florida’s Turnpike after 5 a.m. Sunday.

According to WPTV, a 33-year-old man, who operated a 2019 Kawasaki Ninja, was heading south on the turnpike. At the same time, the driver of a 2022 Ford Escape, a 72-year-old man, was also traveling south. The Ford driver was driving at a slower rate, and the motorcyclist did not reduce his speed, colliding with the back of the Ford.

The force of the collision caused the motorcycle to land on the outside shoulder and rollover. As a result, the 33-year-old man was thrown from his bike and was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unclear if the driver was hurt or if impairment or fatigue were other factors in this fatal collision.
