Fatal crash involving pedestrian reported in Lake Park
LAKE PARK, FL – According to WPTV5 News, a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a driver in Lake Park on Friday.
The crash was reported shortly before 9:00 p.m. when a 67-year-old woman was walking west in the eastbound lanes on Northlake Boulevard. An oncoming driver of a 2019 Lexus IS300 attempted to swerve out of the way to avoid the pedestrian, but still ended up colliding with her. The pedestrian crashed into the hood, then windshield of the car before being thrown over it and onto the ground.
The pedestrian was killed in the impact and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Lexus sustained minor injuries in the collision.
