Man killed attempting to help stranded driver in Lauderhill
LAUDERHILL, FL – A 41-year-old man was trying to bring gas to a stranded driver when he was struck and killed by another vehicle, local news reports.
The accident occurred along State Road 7 between Northwest 26th Street and 24th Street around 11 p.m. The victim was driving north when he stopped to help another driver who had run out of gas.
He was attempting to cross the street to a gas station when he was hit by a white Honda. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver remained on the scene. It is not clear if charges will be filed.
