Hit-and-run leaves woman dead in Lauderhill
LAUDERHILL, FL – A female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed in Lauderhill on Saturday morning, according to WSVN.
The victim was attempting to cross the street near the intersection of State Road 7 and Northwest 13th Street when she was struck by a red 2018 Chevrolet Cruze that fled the scene.
She was rushed to Broward Health Medical Center, where she later passed away. She was 53 years old.
Police later identified and arrested the 23-year-old woman responsible for the hit-and-run. She has been charged with with one count of failure to stop and remain at the scene of a crash involving death and one count of evidence tampering.
