Chain reaction crash on Palmetto Expy. leaves 1 injured
MIAMI, FL – One person was sent to the hospital following a chain-reaction crash on the Palmetto Expressway on Wednesday morning.
According to CBS Miami, a red Toyota was rear-ended by another vehicle near Northwest 37th Street. The impact caused the Toyota to veer into the guardrail and overturn on April 6th.
As a tractor-trailer approached the crash site, it attempted to avoid the incident by switching lanes. The truck then collided with a Chevrolet SUV, causing it to hit a nearby Toyota sedan.
Both the vehicle that rear-ended the Toyota and the tractor-trailer fled the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet SUV, an unidentified woman, was taken to a hospital in Jackson with minor injuries.
