75-year-old pedestrian struck, killed by driver in Port St. Lucie

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL – According to WPTV News, a 75-year-old man was killed after being struck by a driver in Port St. Lucie on Monday.

Authorities say the accident took place shortly before 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning near the intersection of Southwest Community Boulevard and Southwest Westcliffe Lane. A 75-year-0ld male pedestrian was hit when a 36-year-old female driver of a Hyundai Tucson was exiting a roundabout.

The pedestrian sustained serious injuries in the collision and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver was hospitalized with minor injuries.
