4 lives taken in crash caused by speeding driver in Sunrise
SUNRISE, FL – A driver of a black car was going 100 mph when he struck a car, pursuing a U-turn, claiming the lives of three adults and one child from the second vehicle Sunday.
NBC Miami said this crash happened before 6:45 a.m. at the West Oakland Park Boulevard and Northwest 64th Avenue intersection. After the two vehicles collided, the black car had allegedly caught on fire, and its driver sustained a head laceration.
When first responders arrived, they took the speeding driver to a hospital and said the four people succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene.
Sunrise Police started an investigation and have not released additional details at this time.
