4 hospitalized after SUV-Jeep wreck on Miami’s SR-826 ramp

MIAMI, FL – Four people were hospitalized after a collision between an SUV and a Jeep that happened on the SR-826 northbound ramp leading to SW 8th Street Wednesday.

After the vehicles collided, one woman was ejected from the SUV, WSVN said. First responders were dispatched to the scene before noon and were quick to arrive. Upon arrival, fire crews removed the SUV door to help with the extrication process.

Once the extrication was complete, EMS crews transported the three SUV occupants, the driver, and two passengers to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital. The woman, who was ejected, was issued a trauma alert. Her physical condition remains undisclosed. Officials have yet to confirm if she was an SUV driver or passenger.

The fourth occupant of the Jeep was taken to another hospital. Authorities also did not specify whether the patient was a motorist or a passenger.

Authorities shut down the ramp for the scene clearance process.
