4 hospitalized after cars crash into Miami church

MIAMI, FL – When a driver of a silver car collided with an Orange Dodge Challenger, one of them ended up crashing into a church, sending four people to the hospital Thursday.

WSVN said the church that was damaged was New Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church, located at 9026 NW 22nd Avenue. Footage showed the front of the Challenger immersed inside, while the back of the silver car was inside the wall.

First responders took all four occupants to Jackson Hospital Ryder Trauma Center. Three are in stable condition, and one is being treated for critical, life-threatening injuries.

One of the passengers who is in stable condition was identified as Philp Hart, the driver of the silver car.

Miami-Dade Police said there is ongoing construction in the area but did not say if that contributed to this collision.

Police started an investigation but have not released other information at this time. Additional details will be posted as our newsroom learns more.
