3 sent to hospital after multi-auto crash with bus in Miami
MIAMI, FL – Miami-Dade Police are investigating a multi-vehicle wreck involving a sightseeing tour bus that sent three people to a hospital Tuesday.
The four-vehicle collision happened after 3:15 p.m. near Northeast Fourth Street and Biscayne Boulevard, WSVN said.
Julio Abello, one of the occupants, spoke with the initial source. He claimed that the crash happened when the bus driver allegedly cut him off as he was driving. Once Abello’s vehicle collided with the bus, it sent his car into the road before coming to rest.
Footage from the source also revealed that the driver had struck a free. The bus got caught underneath a tree and warranted a response from tow truck crews. It took crews twenty minutes to remove the bus stuck under the tree and remove it from the scene.
Authorities did not specify which drivers or occupants were hospitalized. They only said EMS crews transported one person to the University of Miami hospital and two others to Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center.
Officials did not confirm whether the driver of the Big Bus would be facing any criminal charges.
