20-year-old dead after crashing into light pole in Palm Beach

PALM BEACH, FL – A 20-year-old motorist died after their vehicle crashed into a light pole, then a tree in Palm Beach early this morning, according to information from WPTV.

The collision occurred on S County Road southbound at about 3:25 a.m., when the driver of a 2007 Honda CR-V, 20-year-old Royal Palm Beach resident Numa Karly Jean Bernard, ran off the side of the road and collided with a light pole.

The vehicle then crashed into a wall and a tree, causing Bernard to be ejected.

The victim was taken to the hospital, and was pronounced dead at around 6:45 a.m.

Authorities believe that Bernard may have been driving at a high rate of speed when the collision happened.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
