2 killed, 1 injured in crash on US-441 in Boca Raton
BOCA RATON, FL – According to WPTV News, two people were killed and another person was seriously injured in a crash that took place in Boca Raton on Wednesday morning.
Authorities say the accident took place near the intersection of US Highway 441 and Kimberley Road sometime before 10:30 a.m. when a driver of a 2-16 Jeep Grand Cherokee ran a red light while traveling southbound on the highway. An 82-year-old driver of a 2021 Nissan Rogue was traveling west on Kimberley and passing through the intersection when the driver of the Jeep ran a red light and crashed into the passenger’s side of the Nissan. The Nissan rolled over multiple times before coming to rest upside down.
The driver of the Nissan and a 79-year-old passenger were killed in the impact and pronounced dead at the scene. One female passenger was extricated from the scene and transported to Delray Medical Center in critical condition.
