2 hospitalized, 1 dead after T-bone crash in Pompano Beach

POMPANO BEACH, FL – A T-bone-style crash at a four-way intersection claimed one life and injured two people before 6 p.m. Sunday.

Local 10 said that based on a preliminary report, a driver of a 2018 Infiniti Q50 was heading west on W Copans Road and turned left onto North Andrews Avenue, hitting a driver of a 2012 Ford Focus who was going north on Andrews Avenue.

The force of the collision trapped the driver and passenger of the Infiniti. First responders removed the roof of this car and were able to free the occupants. This vehicle did sustain significant damage, and its roof was seen on the road.

The other occupants of the Ford Focus sustained severe, life-threatening injuries and were taken to Broward Health.

Officials only released one name involved in the collision – 24-year-old Jezeniah Gonalez from the Ford Focus.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating additional details regarding this crash.
