2 fatally hit by vehicle on Fair Green Rd in West Palm Beach

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL – Two people, ages 73 and 71, lost their lives last Friday evening, December 28, in a pedestrian collision at a West Palm Beach intersection, according to WPTV.

The double-fatal incident took place at Fair Green Road and Drexel Road at around 7:00 p.m.

A preliminary investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) indicates a couple was on foot and traveling eastbound on Fair Green Road at the intersection. At one point, a 77-year-old man who was driving southbound on Drexel Road entered the northbound lanes in an attempt to pass slower traffic. Moments after entering the intersection, his vehicle struck the two pedestrians.

First responders pronounced both victims deceased at the scene.

No injuries to the driver were reported.

No pending charges or citations have been announced at this time, but the PBSO continues to investigate.
