19-year-old killed after driving off I-95 in St. Lucie

ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FL – A young man died after losing control of his vehicle and driving off the I-95 roadway late Sunday morning, WPTV reports.

The 19-year-old St. Lucie native was driving a blue 2018 Mustang south when he suddenly veered off the roadway near mile marker 116, between the interstate’s exists for Becker Road and Gatlin Boulevard. The Mustang sped through the gras berm, struck multiple trees, and came to a rest on its roof.

Emergency responders declared he teen dead at the scene.

The Florida State Highway Patrol’s investigations appear to be ongoing.
