The crash was reported shortly after 6:00 p.m. on Lake Ida Road. Authorities say 40-year-old Virgilita Jackson was driving a 2009 Hyundai Elantra east on Lake Ida when the inclement weather conditions caused her to lose control of the vehicle. Jackson was killed in the accident and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and a passenger in the Volvo sustained minor injuries in the collision.
