1 killed in crash in Fort Pierce

FORT PIERCE, FL – According to CBS12 News, an 84-year-old man died after being in a serious crash in Fort Pierce on April 1st.

The crash was reported near the intersection of U.S. Highway 1 and Ohio Avenue on April 1st. Authorities say a truck and a sedan were involved in the accident. A 22-year-old male driver of the sedan was heading south on Highway 1 while the 84-year-old driver of the truck was attempting to make a left turn from the northbound lanes on the highway onto Ohio Avenue. The driver of the sedan then slammed into the truck at the intersection.

The driver of the truck was seriously injured in the collision, and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, where he remained in critical condition. Officials have confirmed the victim died from his injuries on Monday.
