1 killed, 1 injured in accident on US-27 near South Bay
SOUTH BAY, FL – According to WPTV5 News, one person was killed and another person was injured in a crash that took place on US-27 just south of South Bay on Wednesday.
The crash was reported shortly before 1:30 p.m. near mile marker 62, about 5 miles south of South Bay. Authorities say a tractor-trailer jackknifed on the highway and struck a dump truck.
One person was killed in the collision and pronounced dead at the scene. Another sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
