1 dead, 2 injured in high-speed crash on Military Trail in WPB

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – A high-speed crash early Sunday morning left one person dead and two others injured, according to CBS 12.

The incident occurred around 8 a.m. on Military Trail in West Palm Beach. A 20-year-old driver lost control of a Dodge Charger while traveling at high speeds with three passengers, authorities said.

PBSO reported the car drifted and swerved off the road, striking a power pole. The impact caused the vehicle to rotate violently around the pole, ejecting the front-seat passenger.

The ejected passenger, a 21-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

An 18-year-old passenger sustained severe injuries and was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center. The driver was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Authorities have not released the names of those involved in the crash, or the precise location.
