1 dead, 1 injured after head-on crash in Belle Glade

BELLE GLADE, FL – One person was killed and another was injured when their vehicles collided head-on Belle Glade on Friday, CBS 12 reports.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, a Scion xB was traveling north on State Road 715 at around noon on Friday when its 45-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle somewhere near Palm Beach State College and drifted into the southbound lanes. The 27-year-old driver of a Ford F-150 pickup truck was unable to avoid the oncoming car, colliding with it head-on.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue declared the Scion’s driver dead at the scene. The other driver is thought to have suffered only minor injuries.
