Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Fort Pierce

FORT PIERCE, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian.

Investigators say two vehicles were traveling northbound on US 1 when both struck a man walking in the inside lane of the road.

Troopers say the first vehicle wasn’t able to see the man walking and hit him. The second vehicle was unable to avoid the man on the roadway and struck him as well, according to deputies.

The man died at the scene.

The drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene.

The names of those involved have not been released.

Comments:

Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded about the crash.  “Whenever you are behind the wheel of a car, please make sure you are paying attention to all road signs and signals.  If you are in an accident where someone didn’t follow the posted signs or signals, please call me so that we can discuss your rights.”
