Eric Lavelle and Edward Miller Killed In West Palm Crash
West Palm Beach police and the Florida Highway Patrol have identified the men killed in a crash as 41-year-old Eric Lavelle and 46-year-old Edward Miller, both of West Palm Beach.
A 10-year-old boy who was in the back seat of the 2015 Ferrari California suffered a broken leg. That child is expected to make a full recovery, police authorities said. Police say Lavelle was driving the Ferrari. He often offered rides to people, police said, and did not appear to know either of his passengers.
The white Ferrari was traveling south at a high rate of speed on Flagler Drive near the intersection with Murray Road ]struck another car and caught fire, police said. A police spokesman said one person died at the scene of the crash and the second person died at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Police did not specify whether Lavelle or Miller died at the scene.
The 38-year old driver of the other car remains in a stable condition in Palm Beach County. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call West Palm Beach police or the Florida Highway Patrol.
