Drunk driver collides with West Palm Beach police officer

A West Palm Beach Police Officer was injured when a woman illegally turned in front of his car on September 17. It was suspected that the woman, Cynthia Osborne, was driving under the influence at the time of the accident.

Osborne was driving a black BMW when she attempted to turn at the intersection of Australian Avenue and Worthington, at which point the accident with officer First Class Eric Evrley occurred. Initial investigations resulted in the discovery of an open wine bottle in Osborne’s vehicle.

The woman refused to submit a blood test after the accident. It was then discovered that she was driving without a license. Osborne is now facing multiple charges, including: felony DUI, refusal to submit blood, and driving without a license.Both drivers have been released from the hospital where they received treatment for their injuries.
